Carl

Jeff here. How often do you play the Wed tourney at Hollywood? Played 4 times over last few months. I'm in Oswego, so if you need someone for the Montgomery game, PM me. You play the regular games at Hollywood?

Hey Jeff,
Myself and the guy that hosts the Montgomery game hit the Wednesday tourney about once every 3 months . . . I have a 9-5er so I have to plan ahead . . . So far, I have only "missed the cut" once. For those of you who don't know the hollywood policy, they only allow 80 players with approx 10 reserved spots so only 70 or so outsiders get in . . . they only give out 120 wrist bands (i think). Every time I have been there, they have given all 120 out so if you get there early, you get a numbered band and have about a 60% chance of getting in.

As for the Montgomery game . . . I'll keep you posted. Our NL league doesn't start back up until Nov so the games should be popping back up in the near future.

Carl,

Hollywood still gives out wristbands, but its to the point where if you get a wristband, you're in. At least its been that way the last few months. Totally understand the 9-5...ususally with me its like 8-8. At least I have a small luxury of working out of the house on occasion.

They stop giving wristbands at 10:30, then they register from 10:45-11:45. When theyhave less than 80, which has been the case recently, then they'll take walkups up to about noon until the filed is full. It's always been 80 players when I've played.

Hi folks,

I've been hanging around the forum and games in the NW burbs for some time and decided to come out of the poker closet. I have appreciated the information in the CPC and hope to contribute as well.

I play several places on-line but have had to leave my favorite site due to the Pacific's withdrawl from US players. Now I need to find an equally 'fishy' site.

Any suggestions?

For those who might be interested, I also collect and resell high-value , solid silver card protectors. If you're looking to carve out a unique table image, write me at Conga_Nuts@yahoo.com.

Hey Guys,

I've been playing poker regularly for two years or so. I play on FullTilt and try to get live games whenever I can but I'm under 21 so that can be tough above ground. From Chicago, but I'm at college now in the northeast but I would play in Boston every now and then if the oppurtunity came up. I'm always down for a game at any stakes around here or back home in the summer/winter....hope to play with you guys sometime

mcnickers106 welcone to Chicago Poker Club. Rockford Chartable Games is your best bet if you’re over 18. www.rockfordcharitablegames.com/ I usually play on Thursdays when there in the area. They offer both cash games and tournaments. Also you find a lot of fellow poker players under 21 there. When Ho-Chunk Casino in Baraboo, Wisconsin first had there poker room open they allowed 18 year olds. The new poker room should be open soon.

Hello all,

I'm new to the forums and I'm not sure if this thread is still being used for introductions.

Either way, I'm Mike. Moved to Wicker Park/Bucktown in May from the south suburb of Homewood. I'm liking the site, just stumbled upon it today. Looking for some low to mid limit home games. Keep me posted.
