For Chicago poker players there have not had too much to cheer about. So when the Windy City Poker Championship started filming charity events it was welcome news to Chicago poker players. Offering low buy-in TV events it gave local poker players a chance to show their stuff. Watching the rating climb it was also a way for Windy City Charitable Games to gain instant recognition. I will not debate this issue; let the members draw their own conclusions I would like to make it perfectly clear that I will not post in the same forum as Windy City Charitable Games. So with that being said, I’m History!

You will be missed...

joe,

I am sorry to hear this, you will be missed. Quite honestly I do not really understand the reasoning but it your choice.

I delete obvious spam quickly and will even delete accounts without warning if it is not poker related. If it is obvious commercial posts that are poker related I give more leeway but usually ask that they advertise on the forum. When it seems to be in the best interest of the poker players I am very gun shy to censor posts.

I do not mind if Windy City Poker Championship, Main Event Charity Games, Chicago Charitable Games (an advertiser - THANKS) or Windy City Charitable Games post notice of tournaments, newsletters or whatever on The Card Clubs Network. If the powers that be at the Chicago Poker Club do not wish a group to post in their forum then they should let me know. If need be I will create a "Chicago Area Poker" forum separate from the Chicago Poker Clubs but I hope it does not have to come to that.

If you have a complaint against an organization that posts here contact them and deal with it. Contact me and let me know or even post about here but be honest, civil and fair and let them respond. I do NOT want this forum to devolve into the flame wars that plague other, larger poker forums.

And if you think that the situation for poker players in Chicago is dire consider the plight of the downstate residents of Illinois where it is considered all but ILLEGAL to play poker.

Can't we all just get along...please,
